Last month we started to look at eCommerce Optimisation tricks with Charlie Williams and Himani Kankaria. This month we’re building on from that talk and looking at advanced techniques we can be implementing for our eCommerce sites. Sounds exciting, right? We are looking forward to having Andrea Volpini, Vicky Golding and Greg Digeno joining the stage to share their expertise to help our ecommerce optimisation.
Andrea Volpini is the CEO of WordLift and works at the intersection between linked data, NLP and SEO, helping brands worldwide increase their organic search visibility. In these last few months Andrea has been focusing on improving product knowledge graphs (PKG): an e-commerce specific form of knowledge graph built to improve product findability. Using the data in PKG Andrea and the team at WordLift have been experimenting with data-to-text natural language generation (to generate product descriptions from features) and neural search (to provide users with a more natural way to search for products on an e-commerce website).
Vicky is an SEO Consultant at Builtvisible, a London based organic search agency. She enjoys getting under the bonnet to understand the mechanics that lie beneath a website and is driven to fulfil changing consumer demands and curating meaningful online experiences through technical, copy and UX optimisation. Over the last few months she has been busy supporting clients prepare for Google’s upcoming Page Experience update and is currently supporting several site migrations. Managing ecommerce cannibalisation has also been a hot topic of interest.
Greg decided that the pandemic would be a great opportunity for three things:
- Launch a new business.
- Learn sleight of hand card tricks.
- Become an aquarist.
He’s still trying to figure out if any of these were a good idea.
