The first week of October, we have two tea times, one on Tuesday and one on Thursday. Do you have trouble setting up a content strategy or getting buy in from your clients? Dan , Hugo Whittaker and Jason Barnard will show you where to start and how to write a great content strategy that any client would want.
Tuesday, October 6th – Content Strategy
Dan Saunders has worked in marketing for 18 years. Within IDHL he works closely with the directors and heads of service to identify new business opportunities. Generating quality leads, following these up and consistently obtaining a high conversion rates. Alongside this, he also work on his own ecommerce and Amazon store promoting other products & services where appropriate and generating referral leads.
He is certainly very busy as his life has drastically changed during lock down. He had a little baby boy! He’s 7 month now and only had 2 weeks away from him back in the office until they all started working from home. It’s made a massive shift on how he does keyword research, deal with clients and even the way his brain processes data! It’s been a challenge because his baby is a law unto himself and he can’t guarantee he’ll behave during a client call, a crawl or KWR but it’s been soooo worth it. Normally Dan would set off to work at half 6 and I wouldn’t get back until half 7. Dan would have missed his first laugh, first time he sat up and the first time he threw the ball for their puppy. Dan has been able to balance both his career and looking after his young son.
Hugo Whittaker is an SEO Executive at Impression. He is specialising in ecommerce SEO with a focus on international ecommerce SEO. Hugo is passionate about testing integrated digital strategies and leveraging new SERP features to increase the organic visibility of his clients. Hugo recently published a whitepaper detailing the different SERP features available on Google across desktop, mobile and voice, with tips on how to optimise for each feature.
We are welcoming back Jason Barnard, The Brand SERP Guy. He has been in the digital marketing industry since 1998 and specialises in Brand SERPs (what appears when someone googles your name). He has created a series of unique online courses that teach Brand SERP optimisation including: how to remove negative content, how to trigger rich elements and how to create and manage knowledge panels. He also hosts a marketing podcast, where the smartest people in marketing talk to Jason about subjects they know inside out. The conversations are always interesting, always intelligent and always fun!
Watch the experts on our YouTube channel at 4pm on Tuesday.

Bill Hunt is President of Back Azimuth Consulting where they just won Best Global Search Software Tool for their HREFLANG Builder. Prior to joining the world of search, he was in the US Marine Corps for 10 years. During covid he has been stranded in Connecticut, USA. That is a tough part of working on HREFLang and International Search is that you are constantly thinking of other countries.
