Given the ever changing nature of the SERPs – are click-through rate (CTR) studies too crude and limited in their scope to cater for the multi-faceted nature of a typical SERP? And in fact is there even such a thing as a typical SERP anymore?

We made a small release today to add support to the platform for keyword rank tracking in Yandex. This might seem like a small update, but it actually consumed quite a lot of development time, as we found the Yandex markup to be quite a bit different to other search engines’ markup.

As we crawled more and more weird and wonderful websites, our data grew almost exponentially and we soon realised that in no time at all we would have more servers than chairs in our office!
